Send a concise, non-confidential introduction to our team.
Technology and differentiation
The clarity of the underlying technology, the problem it addresses and the basis on which it may be meaningfully differentiated.
Harbor Nexus
Investing in selected science- and technology-led companies.
Selective and long term
Harbor Nexus evaluates selected companies built around scientific and technological innovation. We are interested in businesses that apply differentiated technology to clearly defined needs and demonstrate a credible path from technical capability to practical use.
Our approach is selective and long term. We consider each opportunity on its own merits, taking account of the company’s stage, the relevance of its technology, the market context and the potential for constructive alignment with Harbor Nexus and other participants.
Evaluation
The clarity of the underlying technology, the problem it addresses and the basis on which it may be meaningfully differentiated.
Evidence that the product, platform or scientific capability can address a real operational, industrial or market need.
The experience, judgement and execution capability of the people building the company.
A credible development path, responsible governance and the ability to create durable value over time.
Project-level participation
Opportunities begin with a focused review of the company, its technology and the proposed use of capital. Where there is sufficient alignment, Harbor Nexus may continue discussions, conduct further evaluation and consider participation in an investment.
Harbor Nexus may invest alongside other investors on a project-by-project basis. Each participant considers the opportunity independently and makes its own investment decision and arrangements for that project.
Constructive dialogue
We value direct, well-prepared conversations with teams that understand both their technology and the practical environment in which it will operate. Where appropriate, discussions may also draw on Harbor Nexus’s technology, data and business perspectives. The form and extent of any engagement depend on the circumstances of each opportunity.
